Born in Port-au-Prince in 1963, Henry Roy emigrated to France with his family in 1966 for political reasons. Parralel to his professional photographic career, he has a personnel approach to photography. His work was spotted in 1998 by Elein Fleiss. (editor and art director of the magazine Purple) From this encounter, they started a collaboration that has lasted over 10 years facilitating the evolution of his aesthetic. Henry Roy uses intuition to trace his quest for identity in our world. His vision is a result of a mixture of reminiscence, fantasy and sensation captured throughout his daily life, in an almost animistic relationship with his envirionement. Henry Roy has continued this dreamy poetic journal for several years, a sensasorial and mental biography. He has produced 3 books and several other publications. His work has been exhibited internationaly. Henry Roy is based in Paris.Edition Index
